Another Point of View

Just read a very interesting post on how technology in classrooms has changed over the past few decades.

View it here

I added a comment there too, a little about my experience with technology and education.

Frustration is setting in

Second entry, still unsure about this blogging business. Choosing to use it as an online journal of my experiences through this subject.

Am having a lot of trouble keeping track of where and when everything is. There are links off the LMS, there is a forum discussion board, there are individual blogs, there is a subject blog, there are Skype chats. I keep losing track of what I have to do and where.

Having trouble accessing some of the links off the LMS page, sends me to a page that says I am not authorized to view this page. Is it just me? are others having similar problems? I know that I had a lot of troubles with the edfac computer system. It kept insisting that I wasnt a student. Are my troubles related to that or am I having a whole new set of troubles. In addition I am completing another subject Cyber Culture and Education, with it's own set of access problems. Perhaps I'll start another blog about that one.

Interesting thing happened last week though,I was unable to be present for the online Skype chat, but my computer was online and participated all by itself. I opened up Skype over the weekend and found a record of the chat that I missed. Perhaps I hadnt logged out properly, or maybe Skype keeps me permanently as a member of that particular Public Chat. REad through the transcripts and nobody seemed to address me personally, however if they did and I didn't respond, it was due to my absence not my rudeness.

Opening Post

Welcome to the wonderful world of blogging.

This is my first ever entry or attempt at blogging. The idea of placing your thoughts and ideas out in an open forum for others to view and comment on is a scary one.

Of course I don't imagine a large number of people actually ever finding these assorted ramblings other than my fellow shipmates on the good ship SS FLE.

Hope this satisfies some sort of criteria for a blog entry.
